ATRA is a nationally recognized association that encourages technical competency and a high standard of professionalism in the automatic transmission repair industry. The "ATRA CERTIFIED" logo displayed on an ATRA Shop means there are ATRA Certified technicians that have passed tough industry tests to verify their technical knowledge. ATRA certified technicians must be retested every five years.

Finding a good auto repair facility is always a concern, especially when the unexpected happens. One important thing to remember is to look for ASE Certification. ASE-certified automotive technicians and other service professionals can be identified in several ways. The most obvious is to look for the ASE sign on the facility.
